Undertaker's Remembrance: A Journey Through Night
I am the Undertaker, a soul forged in the crucible of the Forsaken Hollows. The earth shifts beneath my feet, a testament to the chaos that the Nightreign has wrought upon these lands. My quest is one of remembrance, a path paved with fragments of memory and the echoes of fallen Nightlords. It begins with a confrontation against the Dreglord, a baptism by fire that unlocks my potential. From there, the journey unfolds like a tapestry woven from shadow and light.

The first chapter of my remembrance progresses almost instinctively, a whisper in the wind guiding me forward. But the second chapter demands action—it requires a Memory Fragment, a shard of the past that can only be claimed by defeating a Nightlord. Whether I challenge the formidable Balancers or the more accessible Tricephalos, the outcome is the same: a piece of the puzzle falls into place. Returning to the Roundtable Hold, I am teleported to the Iron Menial, whose friendly guise quickly melts away into hostility. Defeating him is but the first step; he summons others—the Executor, the Guardian, and the Recluse—to test my resolve. In the heat of battle, I learn to harness my Ultimate Art, a cascade of power that can turn the tide when aimed true.
After the skirmish, the path leads me to the Wylder near the Small Jar Bazaar, and finally to Raider and Ironeye, who await in the very chamber where my journey began. With each victory, the fog of memory lifts slightly. When all are subdued, the Iron Menial reappears, a specter of guidance. He directs me to a chapel, where I must interact with a wall, shattering it to absorb the Power of the Night. This act resonates through the realm, drawing me to the Garden, where the Scholar awaits. Our encounter yields the Leather Monocle Case, a token of progress.

The fourth chapter is a loop of repetition, requiring another expedition to claim a Memory Fragment from a Nightlord. Upon return, the fifth chapter unfolds with a prayer at the Chapel. The Iron Menial speaks of the Scholar, hinting at the shifting earth. If the event is not active, I turn to the Collector Signboard, purchasing access for two Sovereign Sigils. Loading the Balancers on the Great Hollow event, I find myself in a transformed landscape. Navigating to the northwest, I use the Spectral Hawk Tree to scale heights, avoiding distractions like the crab below. In a courtyard, I face the Godskin Duo, a trial by combat. Beyond them, a staircase leads upward to a room with a hanging rock. Through twists and turns, I discover the Scholar imprisoned in a crystal, freeing him to obtain the Primal Core.
Completing the expedition—whether by death or victory—brings me back to the Roundtable Hold. The Scholar rewards me with the Night-Hued Glass and the Bundled Paper, closing another chapter. But the sixth chapter is the most enigmatic, a riddle wrapped in shadow. There is no prompt to begin; instead, I must load the Night Aspect Expedition and defeat the Nightlord as the Undertaker. This battle is a crucible, best faced with allies if solitude proves too daunting. Victory grants the Dismembered Finger, an artifact of grim significance.
Returning to the Roundtable Hold, I drop the finger near the tree, listening for the whispered affirmation: "This will do... I'm sure." With that, I approach a corpse, interacting with it to conclude the chapter. The questline culminates in the rewards: the Undertaker's Remembrance Outfit and the Glass Necklace, relics that embody my journey. As I don these tokens, I feel the weight of remembrance, a cycle complete yet forever echoing in the night.
